Born in the swamp.

Both founders hold B.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida. Before Randr LLC, Cameron & Cowboy operated another space industry startup which was nurtured by the UF small business incubator. (Cowboy also had a second company selling hot sauce in the incubator).

After landing and completing an SBIR contract for orbital debris removal research from the U.S. Space Force, Cameron & Cowboy pursued many other NASA, Air Force, Space Force, Army, and Navy contracts. Running out of time and money, the two decided to put their old college company to rest and focus on careers outside of that for awhile.

Now, its time for the rebirth.

Fueled by Space.

Randr LLC technologies are powered by a proprietary blend of solid rocket fuel. Every engine utilizes a throttleable nozzle mechanism for tailor-made flight dynamics, and every motor is mixed & molded autonomously. This allows our motor systems to be available for any form factor, and any mission profile.

What began as a novel approach to spacecraft propulsion for orbital debris removal applications, evolved into a general capability that Randr is continuing to work on developing.

What bothered us about spacecraft propulsion systems was the ridiculous cost. We saw first hand that the “space markup” would make orbital debris takedown impossible. That’s why we focused on a one-time-use system, crafted by automated processes.

Motivated by Defense.

Both founders are Patriots and driven by protecting our troops and allies in battle. During our first go around, we also learned that the opportunity for technology development and contract abundance lies in the defense industry.

  • Historically, this team has worked with PhDs and professors from the University of Florida, as well as the United States Space Force. Randr’s founders have a long history of contract application with the U.S. Navy, Air Force, and Army as well.
